MEET THE EDUCATORS
Alberto Rossell-Davis began his 16 years with Aveda at the Aveda Experience Centers, working his way up to a management position. During his 10 years as Education Lead and Senior Colorist at Van Michael Miami, he worked with designer labels including Gucci®, Escada® and Baby Phat, as well as a celebrity clientele.
Amie Bissinger started her career behind the chair in 2006. After writing and implementing her current salon’s education program, she became certified as a color educator in 2014.
One of three siblings, Anthony Skoog is a Minnesota native who has been doing hair for more than 27 years. As a Master Artistic Educator and platform artist, he trains stylists all over the United States, Mexico and India.
Seattle native and San Antonio, Texas resident Beckie Alborn has a true passion for learning and giving that knowledge back. She has taught at an Aveda Institute and is now part of the Neill Education team.
Claude’s 26-year relationship with Dessange Paris salons took him to Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France and the U.S.
Dawn started in the industry in 1992 and embarked on her journey as an Aveda Purefessional™ in 1996, experiencing the birth and evolution of Aveda Hair Color. In 2001, she joined the Scott J Salon Spas, New York City’s leading Aveda Lifestyle Salons.
Haley has been involved with the Aveda network her entire career. Since becoming a Hair Color Purefessional™ in 2006, Haley has immersed herself in continuing education, bringing current trends to every class.
As Director of Operations, Heath has been instrumental in growing the Ruiz Company into a multi-million dollar organization. Salon Today, DAYSPA, American Salon, Modern Salon, and the Austin Business Journal have nationally recognized its innovative business practices and unique employee culture.
Karla started her journey of making people feel beautiful inside and out in 2007. Working within the Aveda network, Karla continued her professional growth through continued education with Aveda Purefessionals™ David Adams, Ian Michael Black, Luis Gonzales, and Terry Varty.
Kurt Kueffner is a master barber, stylist, educator and entrepreneur in the prestige salon industry. He began his career in classic barbering before moving on to study cosmetology as an apprentice for Horst Rechelbacher, founder of the Aveda Corporation.
Luis Gonzalez has been committed to both Aveda and education since 2005. A Pure Talent graduate from the Aveda Academy Denver, Luis is a Certified Hair Color Educator and Aveda Hair Color Purefessional™.
Since 1986, Prudence has worked in hair color education, sales, product testing and management as it relates to teams and distributors at a grassroots level. Since 2000, she has worked intimately with stylists, introducing and igniting passion and creativity for Aveda Hair Color.
Steffan’s initial training took place at the Aveda institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2007. While at the institute, Steffan furthered his education by working with Scott J Salon in New York City, which recruited him to be a colorist and stylist for the Aveda Earth Month Fashion Show.
Brooke is a Nashville native, who began her career with Aveda a little over six years ago. She started as an assistant at Unruli Aveda and has now worked herself into a lead stylist and training manager. She has been a Certified Aveda Educator and an in-house Educator for her salon for over a year now and loves every second of it.
Cassandra is an Aveda Cut/Style Purefessional™ and Certified Aveda Color Educator who has been passionate about Aveda and its mission since starting her career in 2005 at Aveda Institute San Antonio. She is a Master Stylist at K Charles & Co in San Antonio, TX.

Laurie Hicks Panich has been working with Neill salon owners and teams to improve their businesses since 1994. Her passion is growing people personally and professionally through education.
Leslie Williams is a lifelong learner inspired to educate a new generation of artists. Her path as an educator began as a teen attending a boarding school focused on advanced studies in mathematics and the sciences. True to her character, drive and focus helped her excel while studying Cosmetology at Aveda Institute in Birmingham.
L’Oreal Stine is a Certified Hair Color Educator. In 2008 L’Oreal began her career as an Aveda Fredric’s Institute graduate in Cincinnati, OH. She has worked behind the chair in Nashville, TN and Houston, TX, where she has had the opportunity to work at fashion weeks and create an in-house training program to volunteering intimately with Children’s Hospital.
Matthew Kazarian joined Vidal Sassoon in 2009 training hairdressers from all over the world including Japan, Korea, and Russia to name a few. In 2018 Matthew joined the Neil family of businesses working closely with the brands education directors in Paris Parker and Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes to achieve their full technical potential.
Nicole began her career with The Aveda Corporation in New York City in 2000 as a Marketing Assistant with the Guest Relations Marketing team, and participated in the launch of the direct mail and sampling programs, as well as the Pure Privilege Program.
After ten amazing years behind the chair, learning from the best from Seattle to New Orleans, Patti now dedicates her time to Education. Since 2014, it has been her privilege to share VoMor™ with Aveda stylists & salons, and accelerate the beauty industry through excellent education.
Candice feels fortunate that she is responsible for the development of the amazing sales team as well as the relationships of some of Neill’s key corporate customers. She started with Neill Corporation as an Account Executive 12 years ago.
Patti believes that relationships and passion are the fuel to longevity in a career. She began her journey with Neill Corp & Aveda in 2001.
Amanda started out doing hair in 2005 at the Paul Mitchell School in Carrollton, TX. It was in 2011 she fell in love with Aveda and loves sharing all the wonderful things you can accomplish with this product line.
Originally from Minneapolis, MN and the corporate business world, Christina fell in love with Aveda and the beauty industry after modeling in Aveda hair shows. She is now a Master Stylist and Certified Color Educator in San Antonio, TX.
Colton began her journey with Sassoon taking a Comprehensive Cut course at the Santa Monica Academy in 2008. Upon graduation, she began working and training in the Atlanta Salon, where she qualified as a stylist in 2010 and in 2012, was promoted to Top Stylist.
Courtenay Carter is a Texas hair stylist who has been with Aveda for seven years. You can find Courtenay behind her chair five days a week where she colors, cuts and styles each guest.
Grace Mills graduated from the Aveda Institute in Nashville, Tennessee in 2015. She now works as a stylist and salon educator at Pavo Salon in Memphis.
India Moorehead is a small-town girl with big dreams. She started college in Esthetics 12 years ago, little did she know it would become her passion.
Jade Madden started her beauty career with Aveda in 2012. The Pennsylvania native has taken most of her advanced training at the Aveda Institute in New York City including her participation in Fashion Week.
Jennifer has been in the salon industry for over 20 years. She began her journey in business/salon management in 1998 and was inspired to attend the Aveda Institute in Atlanta, graduating in 2007.
Justine Dlack Camacho started a love for people and cosmetology in high school while working at a salon. In 2004 she started cosmetology at the Aveda Institute in St.
Kelsey McCarroll began her career with Aveda in 2006 when she attended the Aveda Institute in San Antonio, Texas, and has been with Aveda ever since. She lives out being a daymaker as a senior stylist with Tangerine Salon in Dallas, Texas.
Kylee Von Ahsen
Graduate of the Aveda Institute of Nashville, Kylee represents Jón Alan Salon as Spa Director, where she oversees multiple locations and collaborates with the creative team. She understands the influence and positive impact an educator can make, and the benefits of continued education.

Raquel Russey Stewart is the full-time Educational Director and Master Stylist at Burt Grant Salon in downtown Arlington.
Her obsession with hair started at an early age by spending time in her grandmother’s hair salon.
Stephanie is an absolute powerhouse in the hair world. With eight years experience in the industry, including almost a year as an educator, she specializes in hair color at Paris Parker Carondelet in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Stephanie is an educator, an artist and a mother. She’s been working in the beauty industry for twelve years and received her Cosmetology License in 2008.
Tricia began her esthetics career in 2007 and has been working with Aveda since 2011. She has been practicing her craft and developing the training Curriculum at Elixir Salon and Daymaker for the past several years while working as their in-house Spa Educator.
Whether Erin is collaborating with top brand executives, leading a group of entrepreneurs or immersing herself in another culture, she’s always guided by her mission to transform individuals, organizations and communities through education of the heart and mind. A gifted speaker and leader, Erin is the founder of a women’s business networking group in Chicago, co-host of Qnity’s annual 2to10 conference and a resource on the topic of millennial leadership.
Carrie has more than 25 years of experience as a leadership trainer and coach and her knowledge, passion and “get-it-done” approach have contributed greatly to the success of Qnity’s customers and clients. Carrie began her career as an esthetician and quickly rose into leadership roles.
Mark Anthony Martinez
Mark’s passion for the industry and its craft is why education is so important to him. As an educator and Aveda Purefessional, Mark has the honor and privilege of sharing his years of experience and expertise with others.
It all started when a neighbor cornrowed Renee's hair for the first time- It was her earliest memory of feeling beautiful. She has had an attachment to hair and its power ever since.
After receiving his Bachelors Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Environmental Policy, Tatum could no longer resist his calling and went to beauty school at the Aveda Institute New York to chart his own path.
A familiar face to Serious Business, Tom keeps taking it to the next level through his two ventures: Qnity – a business tools and education company – and The 2 to 10 Project – a groundbreaking collaborative of top multi-location salon/spa brands.
