MEET THE EDUCATORS
Alberto Rossell-Davis began his 16 years with Aveda at the Aveda Experience Centers, working his way up to a management position. During his 10 years as Education Lead and Senior Colorist at Van Michael Miami, he worked with designer labels including Gucci®, Escada® and Baby Phat, as well as a celebrity clientele.
Amie Bissinger started her career behind the chair in 2006. After writing and implementing her current salon’s education program, she became certified as a color educator in 2014.
One of three siblings, Anthony Skoog is a Minnesota native who has been doing hair for more than 27 years. As a Master Artistic Educator and platform artist, he trains stylists all over the United States, Mexico and India.
Seattle native and San Antonio, Texas resident Beckie Alborn has a true passion for learning and giving that knowledge back. She has taught at an Aveda Institute and is now part of the Neill Education team.
Claude’s 26-year relationship with Dessange Paris salons took him to Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France and the U.S.
As Creative Director for Van Michael Salons, Daniel commands the Van Michael Artistic team for all collections and stage work. He collaborated with world-renowned photographers including Mateo, Liz Von Hoene, Ming-Shiun Wu, and Babak.
Dawn started in the industry in 1992 and embarked on her journey as an Aveda Purefessional™ in 1996, experiencing the birth and evolution of Aveda Hair Color. In 2001, she joined the Scott J Salon Spas, New York City’s leading Aveda Lifestyle Salons.
In 1997, Dusty Rhode joined the Aveda Institute and graduated top of his class. Since then, he has trained at the Vidal Sassoon and American Crew Academies®.
Emily Costello is a freelance educator with EDU X who has a home base at X, her studio in Philadelphia. When Emily is not at X, she's traveling the country working as an independent educator with EDU X, sharing knowledge and appreciation for craft hair cutting.
Erica is a Franklin Covey®-certified trainer and 4MAT® curriculum designer who is committed to creating education programs that focus on both professional and personal development. She began her Aveda career in 2002 as a retail advisor.
Erin has been in the industry since 1995. He started his career with Aveda, training in hair cutting with the Van Michael team and working with two Aveda Purefessionals™.
Before joining the world of beauty, Evve served in the United States Air Force for six years as an Air Traffic Controller. He discovered a new passion at the Aveda Institute San Antonio, specializing in cutting and color.
Haley Chadwick has been involved with the Aveda network her entire career. Since becoming a Hair Color Purefessional™ in 2006, Haley has immersed herself in continuing education, bringing current trends to every class
As Director of Operations, Heath has been instrumental in growing the Ruiz Company into a multi-million dollar organization. Salon Today, DAYSPA, American Salon, Modern Salon, and the Austin Business Journal have nationally recognized its innovative business practices and unique employee culture.
Jeffrey Scott’s 28 years of experience in the beauty industry includes 20 years as an Aveda Purefessional™. For the last 15 years, he has focused on the artistry and business of color.

Karla started her journey of making people feel beautiful inside and out in 2007. Working within the Aveda network, Karla continued her professional growth through continued education with Aveda Purefessionals™ David Adams, Ian Michael Black, Luis Gonzales, and Terry Varty.
Kurt Kueffner is a master barber, stylist, educator and entrepreneur in the prestige salon industry. He began his career in classic barbering before moving on to study cosmetology as an apprentice for Horst Rechelbacher, founder of the Aveda Corporation.
Luis Gonzalez has been committed to both Aveda and education since 2005. A Pure Talent graduate from the Aveda Academy Denver, Luis is a Certified Hair Color Educator and Aveda Hair Color Purefessional™.
Marc Zollicoffer has more than 23 years of experience in stress-relieving spa therapies, including massage, yoga, meditation, aromaology and Ayurveda. He began his career with Aveda as a massage therapist before becoming an educator and innovator in the massage and spa industries.

Mike Varela is a former educator at the world-renowned Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles and a former Sassoon Advanced Academy Director in Miami, Florida. After a decade in the industry, Mike broke away from Sassoon to focus on building his own brand, The Kingly Hair Group.
Morine began her Aveda network journey in 1998. Since 2000, she has honed her skills as a senior stylist, color coach and Director of Hair Color Education at Craig Berns Salon Spa, a four-time Salon Today Top 200 recipient.
Since 1986, Prudence has worked in hair color education, sales, product testing and management as it relates to teams and distributors at a grassroots level. Since 2000, she has worked intimately with stylists, introducing and igniting passion and creativity for Aveda Hair Color.
Sarah Naslund has spent the last nine years behind the chair in an Aveda Lifestyle Salon. As an Aveda Certified Hair Color Trainer and product knowledge educator, she has tapped into her deep commitment to continued learning.
Stefanie has trained intensively in the education operations and technical disciplines of her craft. She is a certified 4MAT® Learning Instructor and has completed numerous graduate-level programs in business management and marketing.
Steffan’s initial training took place at the Aveda institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2007. While at the institute, Steffan furthered his education by working with Scott J Salon in New York City, which recruited him to be a colorist and stylist for the Aveda Earth Month Fashion Show.
Susan’s editorial work has appeared in the 2014 September issue of American Vogue, Men’s Italian Vogue, American Salon, Modern Salon, Process Magazine and Estetica. The Chicago Sunday Tribune turned to Susan to predict the season’s most versatile hair trends and ran a front-page lifestyle feature of those looks.
A hairdresser, platform artist, session stylist, salon and school owner, William Edge has a unique and inspiring approach to the world of beauty. He has worked with the Aveda brand for more than 25 years, owning seven lifestyle salons throughout Texas, Nashville and Seattle.

Alex Zuniga started his career seven years ago at Nature’s Way Day Spa & Salon, where industry leader Prudence Shelburne trained him. Alex became an Aveda Certified Trainer in 2007 and began teaching advanced color courses at Houston’s Aveda Institute.
